It’s time to head DOWN SOUTH! And we mean all the way down... Join myself, Jim Quick and Jay Kinlaw of 94.9 The Surf and a whole crew of friends October 3–7, 2027, at the legendary Pier House in Key West for four nights where the sunsets are spectacular, the drinks are cold, the stories get better every time they’re told, and nobody is in much of a hurry to do anything. We’ll take over Key West with pool parties, live broadcasts on The Surf, dinners, legendary saloons and honky-tonks, live Coastline concerts and some very special musical guests! Plus, there will be enough Key West history and mischief to make the ghost of Hemingway proud…or at least interested.
 
And when we’re not raising a little sand, there’s plenty of adventure waiting. Walk in the footsteps of Ernest Hemingway and Harry Truman, charter a boat and chase the big ones in the Gulf Stream, or play a round on Key West’s only golf course, which Mother Nature has beaten up a little over the years, but the tropical scenery, wildlife and sheer novelty of playing golf on a tiny island at the end of America make it worth every swing. Or forget the schedule altogether, grab a chair by the pool and consider ordering another one. Down South with Jim Quick isn’t just a trip... It's four days of music, friends, history, sunshine, questionable decisions and stories you’ll probably still be telling years from now.  Chickens rule, turtles are gods, Buffett is legendary, and the Key Lime Pie is a staple.
